Q -- PERFUSION SERVICES/EQUIPMENT SOL 637-36-98 DUE 123097 POC David Thomsett 704-299-5830 This VA Medical Center requires perfusionist services and equipment. The term of the contract will be one year from date of award with the option to extend the term of the contract for four additional one-year periods. Contract perfusionist must be board certified and must maintain certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion during the duration of the contract. Contract Perfusionist shall be responsible for the management of all aspects of extacorporeal circulation; routine maintenance and quality control; management of all aspects of intra-aortic balloon counter pulsation; setup, calibration, and management of physiological monitoring devices associated with anesthesia, interoperative assessment, and postoperative recovery; performance of carotid ultrasound and other techniques to measure arterial/vascular function; and shall participate in approved research projects. Contractor shall provide and maintain one new Sarns 8000 roller pump, and one new Biomedicus centrifugal pump, or approved equals, for use during the term of the contract.
