The U.S. Army Engineer District, New Orleans, LA, has a requirement for Real Estate Title Research and Insurance Services in support of the Inner Harbor Navigation Canal Project. The contract area is located in Orleans and St. Bernard Parishes, LA, consists of approximately 111.57 acres of Temporary Work Area, approximately 239.98 acres of Temporary Disposal Easement, approximately 11.5 acres of Temporary Pipeline Easement, and approximately 142.48 acres in fee, and is comprised of approximately 26 ownerships. The successful contractor will provide approximately 26 Interim Binders with Chain of Title, Intermediate Certificates and/or Endorsements, as needed, and ultimately Final Title Insurance. The term of the contract shall be 5 years. The estimated value of the required right of way is approximately $43,000,000.00. The U.S. Department of Justice requires a minimally qualified contractor to be a Title Company or an attorney/direct agent for a title company authorized to issue title policies in the state of Louisiana.
