Pierce, Contracting Officer, (301) 227-1904 The National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) is seeking parties interested in responding to a future Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide services necessary to mensurate and triangulate imagery. All potential vendors will be required to read compressed digital images from a Digital Data Cassette (D2C), load an Adjusted Mapping Support Data (AMSD)(0) tape, and load World Mean Elevation Data (WMED), from a tape as part of the mensuration and triangulation process. There will be several specific tasks associated with the mensuration and triangulation process: (1) Tie Point Selection which includes selection of tie points and diagnostic points (tie points must be distributed according to NIMA specifications); (2) Mensuration which will include both automatic and/or interactive mensuration; (3) Triangulation which includes the generation of an AMSD(1) with format concurrent with NIMA E1018 specifications. The Government will provide AMSD(0) on a 9 track tape and imagery on D2C tape cassettes. The AMSD(0), AMSD(1), and the D2C are classified Secret. All responsible sources are invited to submit brief statements regarding their firm's capabilities and estimated costs of this task by 3:00 p.m. on 10 December 1997.
