The Technology Applications Program Office is seeking responsible sources capable of providing as many as 53 each Aircraft On-Board Inert Gas Generating System (OBIGGS). The OBIGGS will pipe nitrogen into the aircraft fuel system and reduce/maintain oxygen levels to nine percent or less of fuel/air mixture in the tank ullage as fuel is being consumed. The fuel/air mixture maintained by OBIGGS reduces the possibility of fuel tank explosions and fires. The fuel tank capacities range from 185 gallons up to 1030 gallons. Fuel system capacities range from 365 gallons up to 3660 gallons. Power will be 115/220V 400HZ, three phase supplied by the aircraft. Altitude requirements are from sea level to 30,000 feet mean sea level. Additional specifications and requirements will be included in a future solicitation.
