announcement only. A solicitation will not be issued as a result of
this announcement. A new CBD announcement will be published if a
solicitation develops. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren
Division, Coastal Systems Station is seeking potential sources to
provide an off-the-shelf or non-development VHF Power Amplifier for a
Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) radio link. Based on initial estimates the
Navy will require approximately 5 power amplifiers this year, and an
additional 15 over the next two years. The VHF Power Amplifier
requirements are as follows: Frequency Range: 30 -- 50 MHz; Power
Output: 500 W Average, 1000 W PEP; Power Gain: 22 dB; Mode of
Operation: Class AB; Input Power: 1 W to 10 W PEP; Input/Output
Impedance's: 50 Ohm nominal; Input VSWR Maximum: 2:1; Output VSWR
Maximum: 3.5:1; Harmonic Distortion: -32 dBc third order, 25 Khz tone
spacing; Spurious Outputs: -60 dBc, 2nd, 3rd, -80 dBc, >3; Protection:
Stable into any VSWR into any angle; Power: 24.- 32 VDC, 28 VDC
nominal;RF connectors: Type N; Operating Temperature: 0 to 45 degrees
C; Maximum Size: 19" rack mount, 7" high, 18" deep. Interested firms

literature showing the company's ability to meet the VHF Power
Amplifier requirements listed above. This announcment should not be
construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or
