66 -- LASER SCISSORS MODULE SOL F41622-97-T6082 POC Bill Lucas, 210-536-6222 Brooks AFB Operational Contracting intends to award a sole source contract to Carl Zeiss Inc, One Zeiss Drive, Thrornwood New York 10594. The requirement is a Laser Scissors Module for use on the Carl Zeiss axiovert or confocal 410 microscope. It will allow use with the Laser Tweezer Unit for Microsurgical applications through the Scanning Confocal Microscope to assist in manipulation of the structure of cells. The equipment will help identify how hyperbaric oxygen may be used to change cellular function enhancing health care for the Warfighter. The system is compatible with current microscope platform. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this award is solely within the discretion of the Government. No award will be made on the basis of quotes received in response to this synopsis. If quotes are solicited no additional synopsis will be published. This is IAW FAR 12.6 StreamlinedProcedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items. No telephone requests will be accepted. Anticipated award will be 5 days after publication.
