88 -- FURNISH RHESUS (MACACA MULATTA) NON-HUMAN PRIMATES SOL NHLBI-RR-P-98-192 DUE 121697 POC Christopher Belt, Contract Specialist, Phone: (301)435-0358, Fax: : (301)480-3345 The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has a requirement for the e furnishing of rhesus (macaca mulatta) non-human primates as requested by individual order and in accordance with the specifications and standards listed in the solicitation. Specifically, the contractor shall be required to supply the following strains of primates in the estimated quantities as ordered by individual investigators: Rhesus, SPF, any weight or date of birth, estimated quantity: 113 per year; Rhesus, SPF, B positive, any w eight or date of birth, estimated quantity: 105. In addition, the contractor shall be responsible for B Blood Type testing for rhesus monkeys, estimated quantity: 28 per year, SPF, B negative testing for rhesus monkeys, estimated quantity: 113 per year and SPF B positive testing for rhesus monkeys, estimated quantity: 105 per year. The contractor period of performance will be for one twelve (12) month period, with options to renew for four (4) additional twelve (12) month periods. It is anticipated that multiple awards will be made as a result of this solicitation. All responsible sources may request the RFP and submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
