89 -- BOTTLED WATER SOL F1961798T0199 DUE 112097 POC Thomas Sanborn, 413/557-2513, Contracting Officer, Michael LaFortune, 413/557-3508 This is a combined synopsis/request for quotation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only request for quotation; proposals are being requested and a written request for quotation/solicitation will not be issued. This request for quotation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-2 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-12. This is an unrestricted procurement for the following: Potable bottled drinking water in one liter bottles. Estimated 5,000 liters each day (65,000 liters total for the contract period) to commence on 28 Nov 97 with final delivery of 13 Dec 97. The government reserves the right to increase or decrease the amount of the water delivered on each day. Delivery of bottled water to Westover ARB, MA. Inspection and acceptance will be performed at destination. Closing date and time for receipt of offers is 20 November 1997, 2:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time. Facsimile offers are acceptable and may be forwarded to fax number 413/557-2017. FAR provision 52.212-2 does apply, in that award will be made to the responsible offer conforming to the solicitation that is considered most advantageous to the Government. The following are evaluation factors existed in order to relative importance: (1) price and (2) past performance. Offerors are instructed to include a completed copy of FAR provision 52.212-3 and DFARS provision 252.212-7000 "Offerors Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items" with their bids. If a copy of these certifications are needed, it may be requested by faxing a request to 413/557-2017. Offers shall be submitted on company letterhead stationary indicating the nomenclature, part number, unit price and extended price. All offers should be on an FOB Destination basis and should include any prompt payment discount offered. The offer must be signed by a company representative authorizedto commit the company.
