J -- DRYDOCK REPAIRS TO USCGC SPENCER (WMEC-905) SOL DTCG80-98-B-3FC731 DUE 010698 POC Contact Ms. Gail McDaniel, Contract Specialist (757) 628-4649 Provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary to perform drydock repairs including, but not limited to, the following Minimum items: 1) Overhaul Stern Tube Seals, 2) Remove and Reinstall Starboard Controllable Pitch Propeller Hub, 3) Starboard CPP System, 4)Preserve the Transducer Hull Rings and Renew the Depth Indicating Transducers, 5) Preserve the Transducer Hull Ring/Renew DSN-450 Doppler Speed Log Transducer, 6) Overhaul, Renew and Test Valves, 7) Service Rudder Assemblies, 8) Renew Fin Stabilizer Seals and Bearings, 9) Overhaul Anchors(s) and Anchor Chain(s) (Complete), 10) Preserve: Antennas and Antenna Foundations/Main Mast/Chain Lockers/JP-5 Pump Room/Freeboard/Superstructure, 11) Coating Thickness Measurement -- Nondestructive, 12) Provide: Temporary Messing/Temporary Berthing/Temporary Logistics, 13)Routine Drydocking. Indefinite Items include: 1)Welding Repairs, 2)Renew: Shaft Coverings/Water Lubricated Shaft Bearings, 3)Service Port Onboard Controllable Pitch Propeller System, 4)Waster Piece Renewals, 5) Renew Fin Shaft Sleeve, 6) Coating Thickness Measurement -- Destructive (100sqft), 7) Renew Corrosion Preventive Zinc Anodes, 8) Ultrasonic Testing. Vessel's homeport is Boston, MA. Vessel length is 270 foot Medium Endurance Cutter. Vessel availability schedule is on or about 09 March 1998 for 42 days. There will be a non refundable charge of $100.00 required in the form of a certified check or money order payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. All other referenced documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA. The proposed contract listed here is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Plans and specifications will be issued on or after 04 December 1997. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard.
