The Governance Committee of the Cooperative Agreement for Platte River Research is seeking to contract with an individual or firm to serve as its Executive Director. The terms of the contract will be based on negotiations with the selected individual or firm. Experience in project management is required and a background in hydrology or biology would be helpful. Interested parties should submit a letter of interest with their qualifications to Jim Lutey, Fish and Wildlife Service, P.O. Box 25486, Denver, Colorado 80225. The Governance committee will select individuals or firms for interviews based on the information contained in the letters or interest and qualifications. The submittals must be received by Mr. Lutey no later than December 8, 1997. The Executive Director will, under the direction of the Governance Committee, be responsible for planning, managing, directing, and coordinating activities under the Platte River Research program, as outlined in the Cooperative Agreement between the Department of the Interior and the states of Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming dated July, 1997. Responsibilities will require extensive travel within the three states, and coordination with federal, state and local agencies and interest groups. (0316)
