NOTICE OF INTENT TO NEGOTIATE A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with Responsive Management, Inc. The proposed contractor will assist the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Division of Aid and the Management Assistance Team (MAT) with a comprehensive needs assessment of products and services of MAT. This assessment will involve approximately 50 state fish and wildlife agencies and other stakeholders. The contractor has extensive experience in developing and conducting assessments for fish and wildlife organizations and natural resource organizations. MAT's primary mission is to enhance the management of fish and wildlife agencies and provide assistance in organization analysis and management assistance. Responsive Management has conducted research on public attitudes toward fish and wildlife agencies and issues, as well as conducted studies. Responsive Management has the knowledge and access to this information, which is crucial to the mission and needs assessment for MAT. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $50,000. Proposed contract period is from 11/97 through 8/98.
