X -- RENTAL OF CLASSROOM TRAILER SOL F1961798T0201 DUE 101997 POC Thomas Sanborn, 413/557-2513, Contracting Officer, Michael LaFortune, 413/557-3508 This is a combined synopsis/request for quotation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only request for quotation; proposals are being requested and a written request for quotation/solicitation will not be issued. This request for quotation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-2 and Defense Acquisition circular 91-12. This is an unrestricted procurement for the following: (6) six each double wide or (12) twelve each single trailers. Specifications to include open bay, interior lighting, stairs on both ends, outdoor lighting, climate control, a minimum of ten 110 bolt outlets for doublewide and five 110 volt outlets for single wide, locking doors with keys, window blinds and power hook-up to outside power source. Placement will be determined at time of delivery. Trailers to be in place and operational not laterthan 25 November 1997 and removed on 17 December 1997. Inspection and acceptance will be performed at destination. Closing date and time for receipt of offers is 19 November 1997, 2:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time. Facsimile offers are acceptable and may be forwarded to fax number 413/557-2017. FAR provision 52.212-2 does apply, in that award will be made to the responsible offer conforming to the solicitation that is considered most advantageous to the Government. The following are evaluation factors listed in order of relative importance: (1) price and (2) past performance. Offerors are instructed to include a completed copy of FAR provision 52.212-3 and DFARS provision 252.212-7000 "Offerors Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items" with their bids. If a copy of these certifications are needed, it may be requested by faxing a request to 413/557-2017. Offers shall be submitted on company letterhead stationary indicating the nomenclature, part number, unit price and extended price. All offers should be on an FOB Destination basis and should include any prompt payment discount offered. The offer must be signed by a company representative authorized to commit the company.
