It is estimated that the release date of this request for proposal will be on or about December 1, 1997. The objective of this procurement is to assess and report on the feasibility of expanded monitoring of legislative, regulatory, and other policy measures relating to alcoholic beverage control and alcohol treatment and prevention services. This information will aid the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism in determining the extent and cost of work required to incorporate various components in the potential future development of an Alcohol Policy Surveillance System. This project is a new requirement. The Government contemplates awarding a five (5) month, firm-fixed-price contract as a result of this solicitation.
