The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Detachment Philadelphia, intends to modify contract N00140-96-C-N039 with Medical Technologies of Hampton Roads to ensure continuity of services for Computed Tomography Imaging (CT) Services for the Radiology Department, Naval Medical Center, Bldg 215, 4th Floor South Portsmouth, VA 23708. The proposed modification will provide additional radiology services for an eight month base period and three one month option periods through 31 December 1998 to ensure continuity of services at the Naval Hopital Portsmouth until the new hospital Radiology Department has been completed. FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Medical Technologies of Hampton Roads. This firm is considered the only source capable of providing services which meet all of the Navy's requirements by the date services are required. Interested parties may identify their interest and prove their capability to respond to this requirement in writing. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all information received within forty-five (45) days after date of original publication of this notice of intent will be considered by the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
