The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Detachment Philadelphia, intends to modify contract N00140-95-D-1159 with A-1 Gunn Moving and Storage, Inc. to ensure continuity of services for inbound, outbound and intracity moves for the Jacksonville, FL area. The proposed modification will provide additional pack and crate services for a one month base period and a one month option period through 28 February 1998 to ensure continuity of services at the FISC Jacksonville until the competitive follow-on contract to be awarded. FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with A-1 Gunn Moving and Storage, Inc. This firm is considered the only source capable of providing services which meet all of the Navy's requirements by the date services are required. Interested parties may identify their interest and prove their capability to respond to this requirement in writing. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all information received within forty-five (45) days after date of original publication of this notice of intent will be considered by the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information received. Note 22 applies. (0318)
