C -- A/E DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT PHASE FOR AMBULATORY CARE RENOVATION SOL 437-302 DUE 122297 POC Ed Stalheim Provide complete and coordinated Architectural and Engineering (A/E) Services for the renovation of existing VA Medical space located at 2101 Elm Street, Fargo, ND 58102. The objective for the renovation shall be to improve the utilization of existing space moving towards the goal of optimizing the primary care work flow.A contract shall be awarded for the projects design development(DD) phase, with the option for the Va to award a contract document (CD) and construction period services phases of the project upon a satisfactory VA review and evaluation of the design development phase. Contract awards shall be subject to the availability of Fiscal Year funds. Contract documents shall be complete and ready for bidding by August, 1998.The initial step in the design developement phase shall be to evaluate the existing usages and adjacencies of medical center space, as well as location of services and staff as they relate to the primary care work flow and provide several recommendations or options with associated, layouts and cost estimates, which best meet the project objective, so the VA may choose the final direction for the design development to proceed.Completed documents shall be required to be turned over to the VA in both hard copy and electronic format. Specifications shall be compatible with Microsoft Word 6.0 and drawings shall be compatible with Autocad Release 13.Evaluation shall be based on, but not limited to the following: Ambulatory care design experience, Medical Center renovation experience, Government design work experience(VA Medical Center design experience in particular).The offices of the firm doing work shall be within a 100 mile radius of Fargo, ND.
