Anglin, 202-283-1311 This request for proposals (RFP) for IT support consists of equipment maintenance and related support services. These services are currently being performed under IRS contract TIRNO-91-D-00038 with Lockheed Martin Federal Systems Co. The standard industrial classification (SIC) code is 7378. The acquisition will be a total small business set-aside. The contract will have a one year base contract period, and two one year options to extend. Currently, the IT resources are located at over 300 sit s (Service Center Collection Branches, district offices, individual posts of duty). There will be approximately 500 sites by the end of 1999. Equipment maintenance shall consist of labor, tools, diagnostic software and parts required to perform on-cal remedial repair . The required remedial maintenance support will be available up to nine hours per day, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. (local ICS site time), with a response time of four hours for file servers and eight hours for desktops and peripherals. The equipment to be supported includes IBM compatible file servers and desktops (running under a SCO UNIX operating system) and IBM compatible peripheral devices such as monitors, printers and tape drives. Support Services sha l consist of engineering services such as repair, testing, installation, removal, and configuration of equipment. The contract will support the addition, removal, and substitution of equipment. The estimated issue date for the solicitation is January 1, 1998, with proposals due on or about February 25, 1998, with the contract award scheduled for May 27, 1998.
