The requirement is for the use and recycling of Plastic Media for Randolph AFB, TX. The plastic media will be used for coatings removal via abrasive blasting on aerospace ground equipment, aircraft components, T-37's, T-38's, and other aircraft. New plastic media will be delivered and spent plastic media picked up and recycled by the same contractor. The spent plastic media will be picked up for recycling only. The spent plastic media shall be neutralized by the contractor as an ingredient in an industrial process in the manufacture of a new product. The spent plastic media shall not be altered in any way prior to its being recycled in the manufacturing process. Plastic media will be in accordance with MIL Spec MIL-P-85891(A).
