This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation/contract will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) August 1997 Edition. The items to be acquired: BIOCHEM IMMUNOSYSTEMS Corporation, Baker System 9118+ Auto Sampler, BLISystem, Catalog #064031-001, LabPak II Software, and LabPak II Basic System, quantity one (1) each, with the following components: for Hardware, Compaq computer, Keyboard VGA Color Monitor, 1/O serial/parallel port card, Null Modem, Template, External tape drive, Backup Tape (Qty 1), Okidata Printer and mouse. Components for Software (consists of 6 disks). The BLS software (3 disks) 9100 interface (1 disk), Diff/UA Manual (1disk) StatCount Interface (1) disk BLIS soft key. Items shall have the following c apabilities: (1) A six species CBC differential panel including dogs, cats, pigs, exotics, sheep and rabbits. (2) A trend tracking software which allows the doctors to read up to ten serial samples over time in a single animal. (3) A 3-part differential printer with BLIS management system. (4) A five-year warranty and 24-hour emergency service. The equipment will be used for the operation of emergency Blood Gas, Electrodes and Blood Glucose Measurement in animals. The equipment purchase shall be for anim al use and not human. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code 3821, Size Standard 100 employees, has been lifted for this requirement.
