consultant services for facilities within the State of Texas with
primary emphasis in the Dallas/Fort Worth areas. Work may consist of
providing detailed plans and specifications for various types of roof
replacements; consulting services on new facility roofs; and review
construction contract drawings and/or specifications concerning roof
work which may include submitting written reports giving an analysis
and evaluation of proposed roof work and recommendations. More than one
firm may be selected for this project. The Indefinite Quantity Contract
will be for five years with individual work orders being issued. Each
work order will be negotiated as an individual project. Work orders for
any one project cannot exceed $100,000.00 and the total contract cannot
exceed $500,000.00 for each 12-month contract period. The total amount
of work ordered over the five-year period may not exceed $2,500,000.00
or be less than $5,000.00. Firms that have the qualifications to
perform the services described previously are invited to submit a
completed SF255, Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire
for Specific Project, with emphasis on roofing inspector
qualifications provided by the primary firm and a completed SF255,
Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire; and a completed
SF254 for each of its proposed consultants to the office shown above,
postmarked not later than December 18, 1997. The selection will be
conducted by using the submitted SF255 and SF254s. Interested firms
with more than one office must indicate on their SF255, the staffing
composition of the office in which the work will be performed.
Consideration will be given to firms responding to this advertisement
in accordance with the instruction in the following order of
preference: 1. Local (with Dallas and Tarrant Counties); 2. Within the
State of Texas; 3. Out of State. Roofing consultant firms will be
considered as local only if design, coordination, and management of the
project will be performed in that off~ice. The contract contains a
requirement for firms to provide evidence of current insurance of
$200,000.00 of errors and omissions per claim. It is prohibited to pay
any fee, commission, percentage, or brokerage fee to any person or
firm contingent upon or resulting from award of a contract for this
project. No other general notification for this project will be made.
The U.S. Postal Service reserves the right to make multiple awards on
this solicitation. Submissions will not be retained or returned. This
is not a request for proposals. Please mail all forms (no brochures) to
