The Social Security Administration (SSA), requires the services of a contractor to provide Medical Consultant Services in the specialty of Adult Orthopedics. Consultation services shall consist of the contractor's review of SSA Disability Case Files. There will be no contact with patients. Competitive pricing will be solicited and accepted. The period of performance shall be one year from either the date of award or June 1, 1998, which ever is later, with provisions for the inclusion of four one-year option periods. Solicitation Number SSA-RFP-98-3444 is scheduled for release on or about December 19, 1997, with proposals due 30 days later. Request for the RFP should be received no later than 20 days after the date of this publication. Requests received after that time will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. No telephone requests for the RFP will be honored. This requirement is a 100% small-business set-aside. Proposals received from OTHER than a small business will be deemed unacceptable and given no further consideration.
