The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to procure the services of Medical Consultants in the specialty of Thoracic Surgery. Consultant services shall be oral or written from the review of SSA disability case files. There will be no contact with patients. Competitive pricing will be solicited and accepted. The period of performance shall be for one year from June 1, 1998 or date of award, with provisions for the inclusion of four (4) one-year option periods. SSA-RFP-98-3450 is scheduled for release on or about December 18, 1997 with proposals due 30 days thereafter.
