19th INTERSERVICE/INDUSTRY TRAINING, SIMULATION and EDUCATION
CONFERENCE, DEC 1-4, 1997, ORLANDO, FL. Major annual event including
over 200 exhibitors sponsored by the National Training Systems
Association, an affiliate of the National Defense Industrial
Association. The 1997 theme, "Simulation and Education The Keys to Cost
Efficient Readiness" highlights the importance of the innovative
implementation of simulation and education technologies as tools to
achieve cost efficient and increased military readiness. Six tutorials,
twelve special events, and ninety-eight technical papers will be
presented over the four days along six broad functional tracks: Policy
& Management; Education, Instruction & Training Methodology; Training
Development & Delivery; Research & Development Technology
Applications; Simulation & Training Systems; and Modeling & Simulation.
In keeping with the professional objectives of the conference,
Continuing Educational Units (CEUs) are being offered for the first
time. The event will be conducted at Marriott's Orlando World Center.
