U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC intends to evaluate Long Stand-off Warheads that
might be developed to become potential insertion candidates for
"hit-to-kill" anti-armor missiles. This will be accomplished by
procuring and testing seven (7) warheads at very long stand-offs.
Interested contractors will submit designs of their warheads, and
warhead test data at long stand-offs, for evaluation. The selected
warheads will be built in accordance with submitted designs. Research
and development efforts will not be considered. The warheads should
have an outside diameter of up to 175mm. In addition to the normal
packaging constraints, i.e. diameter, length, and weight, the
Government may specify that the warheads be filled with the explosive
LX-14-0 or an HMX based equivalent. The body material should be
aluminum with a minimum thickness of 0.13cm (1.30mm). The Government
will favor candidates that do not contain materials (other than
explosives) that present environmental, safety, or health problems. In
order to receive a copy of the RFP, a SECRET Facility Clearance is
required. The Government may award multiple contracts from this
solicitation. Contingent upon meeting established security
requirements, industry of the following countries have been determined
to be eligible to participate in the Long Stand-off Warheads Program:

will be issued subject to approval of the Justification and Approval
