Proposed contract effort is to close the remaining tunnels at the Degelen Mountain Tunnel Complex in the Republic of Kazakhstan. This is the last year of a three-year effort to close the tunnels at Degelen Mountain. The Defense Special Weapons Agency (DSWA) intends to award a sole source contract to the National Nuclear Center based upon its custodianship of the Former Semipalatinsk Test Site.
