DACA67) DESCRIPTION: This is the final phase of the whole barracks
complex at North Fort Lewis. Construction of several multistory
synthetic stucco and brick faced barracks and administrative facilities
as follows: 1 -- 300 person barracks (3 story, 112,900 sf), 1 large
company operations facility (2 story, 10,000 sf), 1 medium company
operations facility (2 story, 8,400 sf), and 1 brigade headquarters (2
story, 11,600 sf). Buildings feature non-combustible construction with
braced structural steel frames and load bearing steel studs, synthetic
roofing tile and EPDM membrane roofing systems, duel-fuel hot water
based radiator and fan-coil heating systems, domestic hot and cold
water plumbing, lighting, fire and intrusion detection alarm systems,
electrical and telecommunications systems improvements. Sitework
includes road and sidewalk construction, utilities system improvements,
landscaping and irrigation systems. Quantities are approximate.
AVAILABILITY: Plans and specs available on or about 9 Dec 97 at no
charge per set. No individual sheets are available. Documents will be
issued on a first come, first served basis until supply is exhausted.
No phone requests accepted. Refer to IFB Number DACA67-98-B-0007 when
ordering. Requests MUST BE IN WRITING and be received before bid
documents will be mailed. Requests may be FAXed to (206)764-6817 or
sent via eMail to plans-room-cenws-ct@usace.army.mil, an additional
confirmation copy of your request need not be mailed. Please be sure to
include if you are a Prime, Sub or Plans Room. Plans and specs may be
picked up from the Plans Room Monday thru Friday between the hours of
7:30 AM and 3:30 PM. Submit requests by 2 Dec 97. Estimated dollar
value is in the range of $25,000,000 to $100,000,000 and completion
period is 620 days. Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1542.
Project is open to both large and small business. NOTE: If you are a
large business and your bid or proposal will exceed $1,000,000 you will
be required to submit a subcontracting plan. For the purposes of this
procurement a concern is considered a small business if its average
