The work of this project consists of replacing three roadway expansion joints on the Cape Cod Canal highway bridges. The work for replacement of each joint consists of removing the existing joint and installing 40 linear feet of Government-furnished embedded steel and rubber expansion joint assembly. The joints extend up a 1-foot 6-inch high curb and across a 6-foot 3-inch wide sidewalk. Work also includes concrete demolition to remove the existing joints, traffic control, and concrete placement and finishing. The bridges are heavily traveled. Estimated cost of the work is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Work shall be completed within 90 calendar days. Plans and Specifications available on or about 12/22/97 at a cost of $15.00 per set. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the New England District.***** (0322)
