This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This constitutes the only solicitation. Offerors are being requested and a "written solicitation" will not be issued. Solicitation RFQ 528-12-97 is issued as a request for quotation and incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-1. Contractor shall provide full maintenance for a Government-owned, Picker Magnetic Resonance Scanner, Model VISTART System that includes CD-ROM Drive; Monitor, 16" Color; 9.3B Software Upgrade; Keyboard; VISTAR T Workstation; mouse, ethernet box. Maintenance shall include extended magnet coverage and cryogen service, and 12 planned service maintenance calls per year. Company must provide a fully certified, experienced field service engineer to perform services. Period of performance will be one year from date of award, plus three follow-on option years. SIC 7699.
