73 -- FOOD SERVICE AND PREPARATION EQUIPMENT The Defense Industrial Supply Center is preparing an acquisition for the purchase of a broad range of Food Service Equipment(FSE)and related services to support U.S. military customers worldwide. The initiative will provide supplies and services to dining facilities, including Navy shipboard galleys. Food Service Equipment shall include heavy equipment,light equipment and smallwares which are used in dining facilities. This may include products associated with the receipt and storage of food, food preparation, serving and presentation of food, the dining area and clean up and maintenance. All items are brand name specific and identified by part number. A draft RFP is available for review prior to a Pre-Solicitation Conference to allow for the submission of written questions which will be addressed at the conference. The Pre-Solicitation Conference is scheduled for December 15, 1997. Questions or comments should be forwarded to DISC-VP by close of business on December 9, 1997. Best value source selection procedures will be used to evaluate offers and award contracts as a result of this solicitation. The resultant Indefinite Quantity Contracts shall contain a provision for a guaranteed minimum. Each contract will contain a base year with four option years.
