Cavales 510/466-2703!! The Military Traffic Management Command, wishes
to execute Basic Ordering Agreements with interested companies for the
purpose of acquiring stevedore and terminal operations services.
Requirements are periodic, occurring from time-to-time. The contractor
shall be required to perform all the duties of a stevedore and/or
terminal services operator in connection with a ship(s)load/discharge
operation. BOAs will be established at various Ports in California,
Oregon and/or Washington according to the location the contractor
expresses an interest. The Contractor shall be required to furnish all
management, labor, facilities (berth), supplies, equipment, and
materials to handle Defense Transportation System (DTS) cargo.
Facilities requirements include: minimum 38 ft. draft at MLLW, railhead
at or adjacent to the pier or staging area; pier stress able to handle
a minimum of 600 lbs./ft 2; and up to 4,000 sq. ft. of covered storage
with overhead clearance for forklift/pallet-truck access. The area
required to handle up to 198.365 MTON/day is 71.4 acres; a minimum of
57 acres is required for staging/backup work area. Berth length shall
be minimum 1,000 ft., with container, LO-LO and RO-RO capabilities. The
contractor shall be required to perform the following operations:
Loading/unloading import/export cargo from/into/onto railcars, trucks,
containers, and vessels. Services include receiving clerking,
checking, documenting, transferring, staging, warehousing, segregating,
marking, labeling, processing, chocking, clocking, bracing, lashing,
and securing Defense Transportation System (DTS) freight. Contractor
shall rig and unrig gear; open/close ships; shift barges, lighters,
scows, and car floats; load shift, and lay down/remove dunnage; handle
hazardous cargo; and handle military tracked and wheeled vehicles, and
privately-owned vehicles. Services will be ordered via Delivery Orders.

along with statements of capabilities and experience, and a copy of
