The principal components of the work to be performed under these specifications include the following: Removal of an existing 12-inch diameter steel pipeline which is buried adjacent to the City Park. The coating on the existing steel pipe contains asbestos; removal of an existing 12-inch diameter steel pipeline which is located above ground but which has been mounded over with earth. The coating on the existing steel pipe contains asbestos; earthwork for and construction of a 12-inch diameter pipeline, using steel and PVC pipe materials, complete with connections to existing pipe, a drain, concrete blocking, and construction of a highway crossing. A portion of the pipeline is located in the city streetsof Soap Lake. Another portion of the pipeline is located through open terrain; modifying existing chain link fence enclosures, including furnishing and erecting new fencing to enlarge the fence enclosures; earthwork for and construction of a reinforced concrete pipe outlet structure and a foundation slab for the air chamber; earthwork for and construction of a meter assembly, complete with manhole; furnishing and installing an air chamber, including the air compressor and associated equipment; furnishing and installing a complete electrical system which includes controls for the air compressor and connections to the existing electrical system.
