CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW CONTROL CENTER AND ENTRY AREA AND DEMOLITION OF

provide all management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies and
equipment and shall plan, schedule, coordinate, and assure effective
and economical completion of services as follows: 1. Construction of
new Control Center and Entry Area -- Contractor will erect walls,
install a customer service counter and construct ramped access and
entry area, approximately 1300 square feet. The contractor shall supply
and install all required windows, doors, door frames and hardware to be
installed in the new SNCC and security entrances. 2. Demolish the walls
of the existing SNCC Control Center and the existing ramped access way.
The contractor shall remove and dispose of construction/demolition
debris on a daily basis. 3. Electrical work to include the installation
and or movement of the following: (a) Install electrical circuits and
lighting, (b) Install electrical power circuits to the handicapped door
operators, (c) Install electrical power circuits to the new air
conditioning unit andits associated condensing unit, (d) Relocate two
power panels from the North wall of the existing SNCC to the North wall
of the new SNCC, (e) Move all alarm/status panels from the north wall
of the existing SNCC to the North and Northeast walls of the new SNCC,
(f) Install an intercom and doorbell between the East door of the
Service Counter Entry and the Service Center. 4. Install a four (4) ton
ceiling mounted Air Conditioning Unit in the new SNCC area. The Air
Conditioning Unit shall be DX type unit with the air handling unit
mounted in the ceiling and the compressor/condensing unit remotely
located outside the South wall of the building. 5. Construction of the
walls and demolition of the old Control Center shall be in four (4)
phases. The intent of this schedule is to maintain the maximum level of
security possible throughout the execution of the contract. Performance
time estimated at 30 days. Estimated magnitude of the work is between
$100,000 and $250,000. Issue date of the Invitation for Bid
KCMO-01-I-98 is on or about December 15, 1997. Documents will be made
