Provide all plant, labor, materials, transportation, facilities and supervision to repair George Avenue and General Andrews Drive at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Michigan. Work includes, but is not limited to, the replacement of approximately 2 miles of 2 lane asphalt and asphalt overlayed concrete roadway and associated sidewalks, curbs, gutters and storm drainage structures and drain lines. Also included is the replacement of sections of the underground infra structure (storm and sanitary drains and structures/lines, communication and electric cables and ducts, etc.) The new pavement will consist of approximately 5 inches of asphalt pavement on 8 inches of new aggregate over a rubbleized asphalt subbase. All work is to be in strict accordance with the plans and specifications for Project VGLZ952023, "Upgrade George Avenue and General Andrews Drive". The project is to be constructed in a minimum of three phases. Each phase is to be completed prior to the start of the next phase. Performance period is 90 calendar days for the entire project. Estimated start date is 15 May 1998. The prime contractor shall perform on site, and with its own organization, work equivalent to at least 80 percent of the work to be performed under the contract. Estimated magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered for award. This is an unrestricted solicitation. (0324)
