C -- ENTRANCE RENOVATION PROJECTS SOL 554-22-98 DUE 122397 POC Jack Gregorio 303-393-4690 The VAMC Denver is seeking qualified and interested A/E firms to furnish all necessary professional, architectural, engineering, and interior design services required to produce a complete set of bid documents to include drawings, specifications, and construction cost estimates, for the remodeling of three major entrances to the facility (9th St, Clermont St., and Canteen Entrances), Atrium and the primary outpatient corridors in the basement and 1st floor. The remodeling shall consist of and not be limited to new spacial configurations, door replacement/refinish, wall finishes, ceiling treatments, lighting, flooring, furniture, vinyl treatment and color and the application of texture. The development of an information booth or kiosk in the Atrium and addressing the space frame structure. The A/E will relocate the existing smoking shelter from the 9th St to the E wing patio, develop a walkway and portal into the main building. At all three entrances, the existing storefronts will be modified to expand the circulation and integrate into the existing revolving doors. A cover for the handicapped ramp at the Clermont St entrance will be reviewed for need and compliance with the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS). The A/E shall deliver a review set of documents at the 35% and 95% stages. Three optons for the design of the atrium, entrances and corridors, to include spacial, sequencing, color and furniture layouts at a minimum shall be provided. This presentation will be computer generated and shall contain movement through the spaces. All interested and qualified A/E firms within a 125 mile radius of the VAMC Denver are invited to submit SF 254/255 by 4:30 pm Mountain Standard Time, December 23, 1997. (0325)
