German, Contracting Officer, (202) 307-0613, FAX (202) 307-0086 This is the second notice that the Office of Justice Programs (OJP) of the United States Department of Justice will issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the maintenance and operation of the National Criminal Justice Reference Service (NCJRS). The RFP will be called NCJRS 2002 and is the vehicle for contract clearinghouse support to all OJP bureaus and the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP). The initial synopsis, with a more detailed description of the NCJRS 2002 requirements, was published in the Commerce Business Daily on or about October 20, 1997. The NCJRS 2002 draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) is online on the Internet as of November 1, 1997, at http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/ncjrs2002. The Department of Justice requests that comments from potential offerors on the NCJRS draft PWS be submitted to Raymond German in writing at the above address or via e-mail ray@ojp.usdoj.gov. Hard copy versions of the draft PWS, all attachments, and Reading Room items will be available for viewing by November 21, 1997, in the ORIC Reading Room at OJP Headquarters, at the above address.
