Z -- PAINT HOUSING UNITS AT THE NAVAL CONSOLIDATED BRIG CHARLESTON, NAVAL WEAPONS STATION, CHARLESTON, SC SOL N68931-98-Q-4020 DUE 122397 POC (803) 764-7400, Lori Chestnut, Purchasing Agent, FAX (803) 764-7434. Work includes but not limited to providing all surface preparation, painting, tools and cleanup. Work to be in a professional manner with straight cut lines and no slop over. It will take 30 days minimum between units to allow the government to move prisoners and prep the next unit for painting. Must show proof of citizenship and photo ID as well as go through indoctrination lasting about 4 hours prior to getting a Brig badge. All tools require inventory prior to entering the facility. It will be the contractor responsibility to provide the inventory list to the Brig Security Force prior to entry each time. A site visit is highly recommended prior to bidding. All work must be completed to the satisfaction of the Contract Surveillance Representative (CSR) and in accordance with the specifications. Must be in compliance with the Davis Bacon Act wage determinations and the Federal Acquisition Regulation 28.102-2(b) which requires a payment bond (50) percent of the contract price within 5 days after contract award.
