The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to award a Sole Source contract for Post-release Employment Counseling services to Federal inmates housed in contract halfway houses in Tacoma, WA and Seattle, WA. This contract will be awarded to The State of Washington, Employment Security Department, Corrections and Special Operations, PO Box 9046, Olympia, WA 98507-9046. This Contractor will ensure that inmates, residing in the halfway houses located in Tacoma and Seattle receive post-release employment counseling services designed to assist them to acquire and maintain employment at a level commensurate with their skills and abilities. This contractor will provide services to 50 federal halfway house residents. It is essential that these services be provided within public transportation commuting distance of the Bureau of Prisons halfway house facility to ensure little or no financial burden on the inmate for the cost of transportation to and from the counseling sessions. The State of Washington, Employment Security Department has local offices within 5 miles of each halfway house facility and are the only known source who meet this specific criteria and can provide these services within this geographical radius.
