Y -- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SITE INFRASTRUCTURE PHASE I AT 126TH AIR REFUELING WING, SCOTT AFB, ILLINOIS SOL DAHA11-98-B-0001 POC Contract Specialist, Brian S. This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice for the Construction of the Site Infrastructure Phase I for the 126th Air Refueling Wing, Illinois Air National Guard, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, Solicitation Number DAHA11-98-B-0008. Interested concerns should respond, in writing, no later than 10 calendar days after publication of this notice. Responses received by this office will be notified, in writing, once the solicitation notice is published in the Commerce Business Daily. The work is to include, but not limited to providing all labor, equipment, and materials required to complete the construction of this project which includes (1) Demolition of pavement, sidewalks, and miscellaneous appurtenances within the project limits; (2) Soil management including handling of soil potentially contaminated with chlordane; (3) Site grading; (4) Construction of storm sewer system including manholes, inlets, catch basins, and outlet structures; (5) Construction of roads including pavements, cub and gutter; (6) Construction of sanitary system including gravity pipeline, force main, and pump station; (7) Construction of water system including hydrants, valves, and other items; (8) Construction of communication duct bank system including vaults; (9) Construction of electrical system including vaults; and (10) Tie-in of utility systems to existing systems at Scott Air Force Base. Bid documents, plans, specifications, and drawings will be issued by an outside source. The documents will be available on CD, Floppy Disk, or paper. The charges are determined by the outside source and are not refundable. This acquisition is unrestricted using sealed bid procedures. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00. The construction duration for this project is 240 calendar days from the date of the Notice To Proceed.
