E-MAIL: Ann Marie Reaves, Ann.Reaves-1@ksc.nasa.gov. NASA/KSC plans to issue a Request for Offer, RFO 10-98-0010 for installation of Base Support Facility Automatic Fire Protection System (M6-486). The work to be performed under this project consists of providing the labor, equipment, and materials to design and construct a wet pipe sprinkler system for an area of approximately 8970 square meters for the base support facility building located at NASA, John F. Kennedy Space Center. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00 and the effort shall be completed within 160 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is for full and open competition. The SIC Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 1731 and $7.0 million, respectively. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about 12/9/97, with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about 01/09/98. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the RFO. Drawings will be available from the Bid Distribution Office(407) 867-2851. All QUALIFIED responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement [with the exception of the specifications and drawings] will be available over the Internet.
