The Department of the Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, CA has a requirement for manufacture, test, delivery and support of a Submarine LF/VLF VMEbus Receiver (SLVR) System. This system will be a component of the Navy Fixed Submarine Broadcast system (FSBS), and it will provide connectivity with the Strategic Connectivity System and NATO. The contractor shall manufacture and test SLVR systems utilizing Government furnished and controlled software and design drawings. The drawings shall be supplied as a build to print SLVR Production Drawing Package. The SLVR system consists of a Signal Data Processor, housed in a VMEbus chassis and a Digital Data converter housed in a VXI chassis. Most components required for the system are Commercial Off the Shelf, the others will be provided as Government Furnished Property (GFP), for the base period. Options will require the contractor to provide components previously furnished as GFP. Support for the system will include management of configuration and part obsolescence. The contractor will be required to self certify to ISO 9002 and ISO 9003. The base year will have a compressed delivery schedule. It is anticipated that the resulting contract will be a fixed price, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract consisting of a one-year base period and four one-year option periods.
