The contractor will work closely with HMG in improving both the environment for private sector investment in hydropower and increasing the environmental and social soundness of hydropower investment. Specific activities will include developing the capabilities and procedures of HMG's Electricity Development Center (EDC), and in building understanding of and addressing constraints to hydropower development in Nepal. A three year, performance based, cost- reimbursement contract is anticipated. All responsible sources may submit an offer. The preferred method of distribution of USAID procurement information is via the Internet or by request of a solicitation on a 3.5" floppy disk (Wordperfect 5.1/5.2 format).
