Archuleta, Contracting Officer, 520 343-8137; Bridget Gauer, Contract Specialist, 520 343-8138 The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement for all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to dredge a 300-foot wide channel approximately 30 feet deep (below the water surface elevation) in the Colorado River north of Morelos Dam for a distance of 5,000 feet to include the removal and disposal of approximately 1.5 million cubic yards of material. Two options of 2,000 feet each are included to extend the sediment basin an additional 4,000 feet. Each option will consist of approximately 500,000 cubic yards of dredged material. The project location will incompass Yuma County Arizona, Imperial County, CA, and Baja California, Mexico. The magnitude of the project ranges from 5,000,000 to 10,000,000. Contractors should have the capability to pump dredged material 3 to 6 miles, mobilize quickly, and complete project within 8 months. This project will be procured using full and open competition. The standard industry code for this procurement is 1629. To be considered a small business for purposes of Government procurement, a firm must perform at least 40 percent of the volume dredged with its own equipment or equipment owned by another small dredging concern.
