NASA/KSC plans to issue a Request for Offer for the replacement of two (2), 200 ton chillers, associated pumps and piping in the Vertical Processing Facility. In addition, two (2) air handlers will be replaced, one 20 ton and one 10 ton. The order of magnitude for the procurement is $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00 effort shall be completed within 120 calendar days after notice to proceed. Procurement is for full and open competition. The SIC Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 1711 and $7.0 million, respectively. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about 12/9/97 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about 1/12/98. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the RFO. Drawings will be available from the Bid Distribution Office (407) 867-2851. All QUALIFIED responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement [with the exception of the specifications and drawings] will be available over the Internet.
