Contractor shall be responsible for providing all plant, labor,
materials, and equipment, and performing all work in strict accordance
with specifications, schedules, and drawings forming parts thereof for
roof repairs. In general, work shall consist of removal of all
asbestos-containing materials (ACM), complete removal of decking on
mansard (steeply sloped) parts of roof, replace decking on mansards to
consist of 3/4" thick plywood sheathing, installation of new purlins,
lateral and diagonal bracing, and other roofing support members,
complete tearoff and replacement of built-up (flat) and sloped
(shingled) areas of roofing. Replacement of the roof will consist of an
EPDM (fully adhered over mechanically fastened isocyanurate insulation)
roof system on the upper (flat) part of the roof, and new metal roofing
on the sloped portions of the roof. In conjunction with placement of
roof, new gutters, downspouts, and flashing will also be installed.
Contractor shall arrange work so as to keep interruption and
interference with depot operations to an absolute minimum. Estimated
project magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000. One Job. Job is to
be performed at the Anniston Army Depot, Anniston, Alabama 36201.
Completion time to be within 180 calendar days after date of notice to
proceed. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be
