58 -- MARKEY SURVEY FOR NEW OR REFURBISHED 80386 LAPTOP COMPUTERS DUE 121297 POC Fenton Yip, Production Engineer, 908-532-2909 E-MAIL: CECOM POC, yip@doim6.monouth.army.mil}. This is a market survey to locate additional sources for either a new or refurbished 80386 laptop computers. The laptops will be use for the AN/TSC-122, Communications Central. The laptop computers shall come with an 8 MB RAM, 3.5 inch 1.44MB floppy disk drive, have a 16 Mhz processor and at least a 120 MB hard drive. Must have the following interfaces: RS-232C serial port (DB-9 male connector), RS-422 serial port (8530-based, MDM-25 connector), external VGA port (DB-15 female connector), parallel printer port (DB-25 female connector), external AT compatible keyboard port (DB-9 female connector) and an external SCSI port (DB-25 male connector). Should be able to handle shock requirements at 70G at 10ms and vibration at 5-300 Hz @ .4G. Suppliers capable of furnishing these units must so indicate, by writing to Commander, USACECOM; ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-A-MM (Fenton Yip); Building 1200E; Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5000. The response must include documentation such as test results, copy of purchase order if thesupplier was a vendor or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with an unit that will be physically and functionally interchangeable with the above units. Successful supplier may be required to warrant that the items supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army.
