The Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, is interested in procuring approximately 275 tons of hot-rolled steel sheet piling and 12 tons of H-piling to be used as a Government furnished item for future contract work. There are approximately 182 pieces of PZ sheet pile, 24 pieces of PS sheet pile, 8 pieces of standard BW, ZT and ZB sheet pile and 5 pieces of H-pile for the total order. All piling shall conform to ASTM A328, hot-rolled steel sheet piling. Standard and special shape sheet piling is required. Steel anchor straps and high-strength steel studs shall be welded to some of the sheet piling. The contract also requires shop-painting of approximately 26,800 square feet of the sheet piling. The requirement includes handling, delivery, off-loading and storage of the piling at Lock and Dam No. 2, Monongahela River, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, at Braddock, 11.2 river miles upstream of the Point in Pittsburgh, at a designated laydown location. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated. Requireddelivery will be 60 calendar days after Notice to Proceed.
