A -- WEAPONS EFFECTS MODELS-HIGH LEVEL ARCHITECTURE CONFORMATION (WHILDO) SOL DSWA01-98-R-0006 POC Daniel Bertuna, Negotiator, (703) 325-1197, Scott G. Morton, Contracting Officer, (703) 325-1200 The Defense Special Weapons Agency (DSWA) has a requirement for High Level Architecture (HLA) versions of selected weapons effects models. These models will be tested in a distributed interactive simulation environment using the procedures established by the Defense Modeling and Simulation Office for HLA certification and compliance. DSWA will also assist in establishing HLA "federation" relationships with other DoD advanced distributed simulated participants (particularly major wargaming centers and test/training ranges) to facilitate on-line use of physics-based weapons effects in their activities. These HLA complaint models will be verified, validated and accredited in order to certify that these models replicate real world with an acceptable degree of accuracy and fidelity. The solicitation for this effort will be issued on or about 8 Dec 97.
