D -- HAVER DLX DATABASE SYSTEM DUE 121197 POC Kathleen Scherf, Contract Specialist, 202-874-5144 The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), a Bureau in the Treasury Department, intends to issue a purchase order under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) to Haver Analytics, 60 East 42nd Street, New York, NY 10165 for the Haver DLX Database system. Several features of the Haver DLX system make it unique. The proprietary software was designed to have the Haver DLX server transfer the data updates to a local network server. With all the databases available on a network server, the system allows unlimited simultaneous users to access identical data rather than individual users performing separate modem downloads at various points in time. The data provided by Haver Analytics is as it is reported from the data source. Haver is not in the forecasting and econometric modeling business and therefore this type of service is not part of their databases as is the case with other companies. In addition, data can easily be retrieved into both Lotus and Microsoft Excel and exported into other file formats. The Haver DLX system includes daily updates of data; monthly newsletters; periodic software updates; and access to Haver Website. The system also includes a one year subscription to the following: Usecon; Usint; Conference Board; Realtor; Regional/RegionW; Europe+; Emergela; Dlinq and Dlinq-R; Japan; Emergee/Embergepr; Labor-R; Emplr; Uspop; Piqr; PI-County; and Emplc. The period of performance will be January 1, 1998 through December 31, 1998. This procurement is a SOLE SOURCE and NO solicitation is available.
