The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA, National Weather Service (NWS), intends to issue a contract to Calcara Duffendack Foss Manlonve, Inc. (CDFM2) for customization and technical support of the NWS Facility Information Reporting & Management System (FIRMS). The services provided will include general enhancements of the database, frame relay upgrade, specific enhancements to the system and implementation. The NWS contracted with CDFM2 previously to develop a maintenance database. CDFM2 holds the copyright to the software customization. All specifications are proprietary to CDFM2 and therefore cannot be released to the public. The Government intends to solicit to only one source under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1). This is not a call for proposals. Interested parties are encouraged to respond to this announcement within 10 days of its publication and shall submit in writing, its name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size and a brief statement regardingits capability to provide the specified supply and the names, telephone numbers, and points of contact for businesses or other Government agencies to which it had previously provided similar supplies.
