Place of subcontract performance is Ascension Island, South Atlantic Ocean. Description of work: Renovate dormitories at Ascension Island. Work includes, but is not limited to: Provide all labor, materials, and equipment to complete the attached scope of work. All items for a complete and usable facility will be installed unless specifically noted otherwise. Projects 93-1823-ASC, 96-1801-ASC, and 96-1802-ASC (Base Bid): Total renovation of three (3) five thousand square foot (5,000 SF) single story, fourteen (14) room dormitories located on Ascension Island. Work consists of demolition and removal of all existing mechanical, electrical, communication, and fire detection systems; as well as several interior walls, ceilings, and floors that contain asbestos. All doors, windows, and finish materials will be removed and replaced. New construction includes installation of all interior fixtures, wiring, plumbing, water supply, and sewage. Exterior CMU of facilities will be stripped and an EIFS System applied. Project 93-1869-ASC (Additive Bid) consists of an additional two (2) dormitories identical in nature and scope to the work outlined above. Base bid projects have a definitive performance period of four hundred ninety (490) days. The additive bid has a two hundred forty (240) day extension for a total of seven hundred thirty (730) days.
